Troubleshoot Audio Problems
Run a DXDIAG (DX Diagnostic) to collect system data used during the trouble shooting process. To collect the data, click here. You may be asked to email the file to one of the FAVG Technicians for analysis.
On the Sound Tab see if your computer has a "Sound Blaster Live!" audio card, if so Click Here. Otherwise proceed to step 3.
On the Sound tab under DirectX Features is a sound acceleration four position slider. Note the original position of the slider before changing it. No Acceleration (full left) being the lowest setting, and Full Acceleration (Full Right) being the highest setting, the remainder of this procedure is designed to help you find the highest setting possible, where the original problem does not occur.
Move the slider to the farthest left position, which is the No Acceleration setting. Retry playing Fighter Ace and verify the problem is corrected. If the problem is not corrected, return the slider to its original position and continue to step 9.
If the problem is corrected, perform steps 2 and 3 again, setting the slider one notch to the left (Basic Acceleration). If the problem is not corrected, return the slider to its original position and continue to step 9.
Restart your computer and test Fighter Ace to insure the problem is still gone.
If the problem is still corrected, perform steps 2 and 3 again, setting the slider one notch to the left (Standard Acceleration). If the problem is not corrected, return the slider to its original position and continue to step 9.
Restart your computer and test Fighter Ace to insure the problem is still gone.
Perform steps 2 and 3 again setting the slider to its original position.
If you have tried all of the previous steps and you are still experiencing the same problem, proceed to the FAVG Help Room for "Live-Chat" assistance from our FAVG Technical Support Technicians.
